Have you noticed? The Tiny Empires Standings Page has been redone!  http://tinyempires.com/standings  Here is some info I copied from the Tiny Empires Blog as posted by one of the contributors Vulpine Eldrich.

Here are the major differences, roughly in the order you will encounter them:

  • The standings pages come up in a pop-up window when you click the map, rather than as a new page. That can be remedied by right clicking it and choosing to open the link in a new tab or window.

  • There are no separate pages for each 'section' of a tree... a whole kingdom is in one page, no matter if it's got three people, or two thousand. (Try it- go to Avalon's page, open it up...)

  • It's not laid out as a "tree" anymore, it's in an outline format. Each section on the outline can be collapsed or expanded.

  • Each line has more information. Rank is a jewel, the title is given in gray, and icons after names indicate other things about that player.

  • Doing a search from the main page gives you a trail that consists of hyperlinks for every person. Clicking on any of those names will pull up the standings page for that kingdom, go directly to that person, and show you where they are by flashing it in blue.

  • As you move your mouse over names, the upline for each person is shown with a darker brown or tan background.

For reference, the icons that I have seen so far after names, and their meanings:

Queen Peachy has given out some helpful tips on how to benefit thyself from Tiny Empires:

--- Fed HUD ---

The easiest way to earn massive amounts of gold is with the Fed HUD. BUT... you must be vigilant & you must have at least 1 subject. The Disease/Disaster/Crime/Famines are your friend if you'll let them be. Don't pay the highest amount unless your doing a research.

On your Accounting tab it says Population xxx % of capacity. You want that # as close to 5000% as possible. What this means is every 2 years (January of even years) you'll earn MASSIVE amounts of gold in the census. If you go over 5000% you will hit cap and in September of an even year your citz will die back to 5000%, so form an alliance and pass them along!

This percentage goes up everytime you pay the maximum for a Disease/Disaster/Crime/Famine as you earn more citizens (population) when you do so (by about 75-100% each time). If you have an ally with more land than you, you can also ask them to send some citizens to you when they are capped or close to capped out, or vice versa.

90% of population equals the regular HUD rate of gold earning. If you're there great, but you can increase your gold earning and thus your land buying ability and trader payment ability by following the steps above.

So a trick to get a jump start on this process is to ally with someone in your upline. And have them send you some citizens. Once you're at 3000-4000% it grows a lot quicker.

What is the benefit of the embassies?

They let you pass a larger amount of citizens and fewer get angy in the xfer, they give you increased opportunities for high land sells, and if ya get 4 of 'em they give you a +1g/acre. A very *un*-useful (IMO) option is they also give you a chance to spy on your ally.

--- Semi useless but good to know facts ---
Can recruit up to 3 levels below
Can give land one above your rank and anyone below you
Citz above 5000% die in September
Census occurs in January of even years
A subject can be at most 5 levels below you
Trader is only for Barons and above

Many thanks to you Queen Peachy as those are quite beneficial to know!
